There are a number of different peripherals used on all computers. For the purpose of this task I am going to look at 3 different peripherals and show how the user needs to take into consideration all health and safety aspects when connecting different peripherals to the computer.
Speakers
It is essential that when connecting speakers to the computer all users must ensure that the computer is switched off and disconnected from the socket. This will prevent the user from receiving an electric shock from the device. The speakers can then be connected to the computer and the computer switched on. The speakers are then going to allow the user to have a better sound quality for watching things such as videos, movies, listening to music etc.
Digital camera
Before using a digital camera the user must ensure that the computer is turned off and disconnected as this will prevent anyone from receiving an electric shock. The user is then able to set up the camera and turn the computer on. The camera can then be used to transfer all your camera images onto your computer and save them. These images will then be stored on the computer which therefore means that they can be deleted off the camera and this then allows the user to take more pictures on their camera.
Printer
Before using a printer the user must ensure that the computer is turned off and disconnected from the socket as this will prevent the user from receiving an electric shock. After this safety precaution is ensured the printer can then be set up and the computer can be switched on. This peripheral allows users to print things out such as emails, documents, images etc.
